Oliver Tree Charlotte Concert reviews
doobie better than chicago!
The Oliver Tree sounded decent when they came on first. As we all are getting older, but the songs still sounded good. Most of the band wasn't even BORN when the real Chicago had their hits. Or at least a band "called" Chicago came on. Then Chicago came on. Call it a COVER band, but not "Chicago". Only 1 band member looked to be original. The singers were hard to understand and even seemed to not sing the right words on two occasions. Overall, the singing was subpar. The quality of the singing and the interpretations were not NEAR up to par. Very disappointing. I think many cover bands would have done a BETTER job on the Chicago songs. The songs themselves were still good, but made for younger crowds, which was not what was in the audience for the most part. I would not do it again. The memories are too good, and the reality just didn't stack up (talking about Chicago here).
